Sierra Service Project
Sierra Service Project, fondly known as “SSP,” is a Christian ecumenical ministry of faith formation and fellowship through construction and service projects in low-income communities. Youth and adults join on meaningful treks to far-away sites to serve along with teams from other churches for a week. Projects get completed over the course of a summer as new teams come in to continue or finish projects underway.
Everyone lives in community and simplicity at a church, school or camp. Daily worship, learning time, field trips, covenant group meetings, festive meals and new friends make these camps memorable and life-changing.
This year our Madera team traveled to Chiloquin, Oregon from July 19-25 to work on projects in a Native American community.
